Vaccinations for horses
Vaccination is an important part of routine horse care. It protects your horse against infectious diseases and helps prevent them from spreading within stables and at competitions.
We recommend the following vaccinations:
Depending on your horse and your circumstances, we will draw up a suitable vaccination schedule.
Deworming & faecal examination
Targeted worming based on faecal analysis is now standard practice in preventive equine healthcare. This is because we are seeing worms becoming resistant to worming treatments with increasing frequency. To ensure these treatments remain effective in the future, it is important to worm only when it is genuinely necessary.
By carrying out faecal tests several times a year, we can determine whether your horse has a worm infection. Based on these results, we decide whether worming is necessary and which treatment is most suitable. This helps you avoid the unnecessary use of medication and contributes to a sustainable approach. We would be happy to advise you on a suitable treatment plan for your horse.
Age and the risks of worm infection
Susceptibility to worm infections varies greatly depending on age. It is therefore important to tailor the worming and faecal examination schedule to your horse’s age, so that you can take targeted and effective action.
